Senior Software Engineer

We are a funded, growing startup seeking a highly-talented, motivated, and experienced software engineer with strong fundamentals, and a passion for learning. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the user experience and design of our products.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web applications using React, Node, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices
Write and maintain automated tests using testing software and participate in test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure high code quality
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues
Take ownership of product features and work with cross-functional teams to drive their implementation and launch
Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 4-6 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on front-end development
Expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and (S)CSS
Experience with ExpressJS and other related backend technologies
Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Experience with styling frameworks such as Bootstrap, Material Design, or Tailwind
Experience with testing software and test-driven development (TDD) practices
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus points for experience with Python and working in a startup environment
Bonus points for experience or interest in UI/UX
Bonus points for experience in MySQL or Postgres
